Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lance Hodges (ranked 4984 p4p, 25317 weight class) and Douglas Clark (ranked 471 p4p, 500 weight class). Clark has chosen Sweet Home Alabama as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lance Hodges!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Clark!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark scores with a jab to the head.
Clark connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Lance Hodges has been cut.

Clark moves out of range of the body kick from Hodges.
Hodges misses with a jab to the body
and Hodges is countered with a crisp right hand from Clark that sends him to the canvas! Clark follows him to the mat into side control.
Hodges is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hodges tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Oh Hodges is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Clark is working to tighten his grip on Hodges's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hodges has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Clark is really squeezing tight and eventually Hodges passes out! Clark breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Douglas Clark!
