Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boy Kamatis (ranked 2544 p4p, 2979 weight class) and Eddie Odom (ranked 307 p4p, 350 weight class). Eddie Odom told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boy Kamatis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie Odom!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kamatis fails to land with a series of punches.
Kamatis tries to close the distance and clinch but Odom swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kamatis definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A combination from Odom does no damage.

Kamatis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Odom circles away.
Kamatis throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Odom to counter with a crisp jab.
Odom has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Kamatis needs to keep his hands up - Odom had a free shot at his head there.
Kamatis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Odom manages to avoid it.
Kamatis throws a low kick but Odom moves out of range easily.
Kamatis drives through and clinches with Odom against the cage.
Odom gets through Kamatis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kamatis trying to control the position but instead, Odom has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kamatis into the cage.

Kamatis throws a series of punches but Odom avoids them all with ease.
Boy Kamatis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Odom checks a leg kick.
Odom lands a nice hook to Kamatis's body. Kamatis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Odom clinches with his opponent.
Odom breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Odom lands a jab-cross combination.
Kamatis closes the distance and clinches up with Odom, looking for a takedown. Kamatis pushes Odom against the cage but Odom circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kamatis throws a right and a left that Odom avoids nicely.
Odom keeps the fight on the outside.

and Odom counters with a stiff right hand.

Odom looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Odom throws out a counter right but Kamatis avoids it with no problem.

Kamatis thuds his right hand into Odom's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Kamatis seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Kamatis misses with a takedown attempt - Odom sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kamatis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kamatis moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kamatis is looking to clinch but Odom is avoiding it.
Kamatis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Odom.
Kamatis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Odom paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kamatis has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kamatis there as he acknowledges the shot.
Kamatis throws a combination that misses
and Odom counters with a nice body shot.
Odom is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kamatis had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Odom ducks under a wild hook from Kamatis.
Odom swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Odom lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kamatis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kamatis takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Some wild striking there from Kamatis.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Odom moves into the clinch successfully.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Eddie Odom dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Boy Kamatis's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kamatis lands a nice shot that snaps Odom's head back.
Kamatis misses with a two punch combination.
Odom lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Kamatis is looking to clinch but Odom is avoiding it.
Kamatis is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kamatis takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Odom throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
A shot to the liver by Odom. Beautiful body shot.
Odom clinches up with Kamatis and pushes him back against the cage.

Kamatis is looking to break free of the clinch but Odom has double underhooks.

Kamatis misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Kamatis wants a takedown but no success here.

Odom lands with a left to the head.
Kamatis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kamatis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kamatis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Odom throws a one two combo.
Kamatis is rocked!
Odom scores with a shot to the body.
Oh Kamatis is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Odom thuds a left hand into Kamatis's body.
Odom throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Kamatis crashing down! Kamatis tries to stagger back to his feet but Odom just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Kamatis asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Odom!
