Rogers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Penn pinned against the cage. Penn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Penn fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rogers.

Rogers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Penn tries to avoid it but Rogers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Penn to the ground. Penn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Shawn Rogers's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Rogers crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Penn - the referee stops the clock and Rogers gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Penn . Rogers manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
