Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Happy Gilmore (ranked 3560 p4p, 2394 weight class) and Giorgi Gorgodze (ranked 402 p4p, 286 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Giorgi Gorgodze enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Giorgi Gorgodze!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gorgodze shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gilmore as he avoids it easily.
A punch lands to the side of Gorgodze 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Gorgodze uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gilmore.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gorgodze.
The crowd cheers as Gilmore lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gorgodze doesn't seem phased though.
Gilmore displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gorgodze.
Happy Gilmore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giorgi Gorgodze.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gilmore throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gorgodze stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

You can see the frustration on Gilmore's face as Gorgodze controls the position.
It looks like Gorgodze might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
