Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shaman Weaver (ranked 1355 p4p, 2159 weight class) and Benny Darius (ranked 138 p4p, 201 weight class). Weaver comes to the cage accompanied by Close Your Eyes by Acen. Darius comes into a darkened arena with his song building. In the Shadows - The Rasmus kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shaman Weaver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Benny Darius!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weaver throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Darius's waist but Darius gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Weaver off to one side.
Darius looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Weaver steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Darius.
Weaver's corner calls for a 1-2. Weaver obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Darius tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Weaver was well out of range. Poor timing from Darius.
Darius throws a head kick that misses.
Weaver swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Darius loads up on a big right hand but Weaver slips the punch.
A little feinted left hand from Weaver on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Darius misses with a jab to the body
and Weaver counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Benny Darius has been cut.
Darius misses with a hook. Weaver ducked under it nicely.
Darius ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Weaver rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Darius moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Weaver tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Darius was well out of range. Poor timing from Weaver.
Darius throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Weaver looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Weaver throws a shot from downtown. Darius moves away and avoids it.
Weaver fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Darius throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Weaver stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Darius throws a series of punches but Weaver avoids them all with ease.
Darius throws a head kick that misses.
Weaver was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Darius misses with a wild body shot.
Darius throws a lazy uppercut
and Weaver cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Weaver looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Darius lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Weaver at a distance.
Darius cracks Weaver with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Darius throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As Darius looks to move away, Weaver throws a big counter combo but Darius just gets out of the way.
Darius is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Weaver rather than just go for the knockout.
Weaver tries to clinch but Darius is having none of it.
Weaver uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Darius.
Darius swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Darius jabs at Weaver's body.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Darius lands with a good body shot.
Darius throws a looping overhand right but Weaver ducks down to avoid it.
Darius lands a jab to the nose.
Darius tries a head kick but it misses.
A little feinted left hand from Weaver on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Darius throws a poor cross that misses
and Weaver counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Weaver misses with a body punch
and Darius counters with a stiff right hand.
Darius tests Weaver's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Darius takes a swing at Weaver's ribcage but misses.
Weaver shoots and misses
and Darius counters with a nice uppercut.
Benny Darius is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Darius swings widly with a right hand
and Weaver scores with a counter punch that sends Darius to the canvas! Weaver smells blood - he's punishing Darius with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Darius has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shaman Weaver!
A very excited looking Shaman Weaver made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Benny Darius was interviewed post fight and said 'Thank you to my opponent and all the fans, my coaches and sponsors.'.
