And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phil Qwerty!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haelfson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haelfson advances to full mount.
Haelfson misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Qwerty wants to control but Haelfson is having none of it.
Haelfson sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Haelfson is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Qwerty is in real trouble.
A lull in the action here.
Haelfson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Qwerty is defending well though. Haelfson let's go of the attempt for now.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Haelfson.
