0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Will Anderson! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Weller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Weller shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed Weller's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Weller tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance. Weller fails with an attempt to clinch.

Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Weller's guard. Anderson stands and throws Weller's legs to the side, diving into side control. Weller sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Anderson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Weller tries to kick Anderson off but Anderson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Anderson wants to pass to mount but Weller is defending the position. Weller throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson trying to control the action but Weller is working from the bottom. Weller wants to control but Anderson passes into side.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Anderson keeps the fight on the outside. Weller takes a body punch but keeps moving. Weller is breathing heavily. Anderson gets the takedown into side control. Weller seems a little lost for a moment, as Anderson dominates the positioning.

He's given up a good position looking for it. Weller looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Anderson!
