The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way. Cheese tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Diesel manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Cheese moves into the clinch successfully.
Cheese prevents a takedown attempt there.
Cheese is trying to drag Diesel to the mat but Diesel just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Diesel gets a trip takedown into half guard. And that's the end of the fight! Diesel takes the fight on points by 2 to 0. A relieved looking Kurt Diesel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. |
