The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardim gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Silva is pressed up against the cage. Cardim has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silva down to the mat. Silva avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Cardim shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.

Bruno Cardim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cardim throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Silva stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bruno Cardim.
