Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frederico Mora (ranked 3695 p4p, 4053 weight class) and Brenden Hickman (ranked 259 p4p, 279 weight class). Brenden Hickman is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Brenden Hickman!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Steven Brown and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hickman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mora to the ground. Hickman is now in Mora's guard.
Hickman wants to control from the top but Mora keeps moving.
Mora can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hickman controls the pace.

Hickman should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mora gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Hickman is looking for a kimura but Mora is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hickman to get the leverage.
Mora is looking to control Hickman's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mora avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hickman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Hickman is keen to just control but Mora is a slippery customer.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hickman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hickman wants to work for an arm triangle but Mora is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Hickman is stalling here. Mora is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hickman seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Mora has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Mora is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hickman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mora gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Mora escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hickman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mora throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hickman escapes and throws Mora's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Mora is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hickman is just riding it out for now. Mora eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hickman has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mora is working away from the top position though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hickman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mora defends well and Hickman ends up having to push Mora into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
As Hickman tries to get set, Mora tries to push him back and clinch up but Hickman manages to avoid the attempt.
Mora moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like Brenden Hickman has been cut.

Hickman with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frederico Mora will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Mora fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hickman changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Mora stops Hickman from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Hickman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mora turns into him and now he's in Hickman's guard.

Mora sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hickman's guard.
Hickman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Mora is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hickman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hickman has escaped and now he's on top!

Hickman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Mora will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mora throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hickman uses it to pass to side control.

Hickman throws a strike aimed at the side of Mora's head but Mora avoids it well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Brenden Hickman.
I think Hickman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
