This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 18 wins and 42 losses; Nate Pawn! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 44 wins and 24 losses; Trip Fontaine! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Fontaine shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pawn moves into the clinch. Fontaine tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Pawn smiles and moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fontaine not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pawn not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Fontaine stays in close to Pawn's body and controls the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pawn wants to sweep here but Fontaine controlling him for the moment. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Fontaine not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Pawn might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Fontaine trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pawn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Fontaine on the ground. Pawn wants to sweep here but Fontaine controlling him for the moment. Pawn is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fontaine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pawn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pawn controls Fontaine momentarily but Fontaine frees himself. Fontaine engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Fontaine looking to pass the guard. Fontaine is pushing down on Pawn's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pawn is fighting to maintain full guard but Fontaine has managed to sneak the leg through.

He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Pawn tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Fontaine!
