Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josh Fremed (ranked 2695 p4p, 2714 weight class) and Marcelo Livingston (ranked 312 p4p, 314 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcelo Livingston!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Livingston scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fremed tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Livingston wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Fremed is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Livingston's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fremed is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Livingston has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Fremed is breathing heavily.
Livingston trying to control the position but Fremed manages to sink in the hooks.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Fremed is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Livingston is defending well though. Fremed let's go of the attempt for now.

Livingston must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Livingston sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Livingston chips away with some ground and pound.

Livingston is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Livingston is continuing to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Let's hope that Livingston has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Livingston works his way into side control.
Check out the look on Livingston's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Fremed takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Marcelo Livingston showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Livingston closes the distance looking for a takedown. Fremed stuffs it but Livingston still has hold of him. Livingston picks Fremed up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Livingston slams Fremed to the floor and that's really hurt Fremed - he doesn't know where he is! Livingston throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
