Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Alonso (ranked 4795 p4p, 4412 weight class) and Ferry Bos (ranked 444 p4p, 412 weight class). Ferry Bos has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marcos Alonso's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marcos Alonso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ferry Bos! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bos dives in for a single leg takedown but Alonso sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A little feinted left hand from Alonso on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Alonso pushes Bos up against the cage in a clinch. Alonso wants to break free but Bos has control.
Alonso drops down looking for an ankle pick but Bos pulls his leg out and moves away.
Alonso throws a head kick that misses. Bos is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Bos is looking to clinch. Bos is looking to clinch. Alonso is looking for a counter combo.
Bos rushes Alonso and presses him up against the cage. Bos misses with a knee to the head.
Alonso has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bos uses from the top position. Alonso bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bos's guard.
 We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bos looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Alonso gets to his feet - Bos follows without any prompting. Bos shoots for a double leg takedown but Alonso sprawls well. He's pushed Bos's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A jab from Alonso does it's job there.

Despite the aggression on Bos's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Alonso is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bos sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Alonso swats away the attempt to clinch by Bos. Bos fails with the takedown. Marcos Alonso has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ferry Bos. Alonso shoots and misses and Bos counters with a head kick. That will keep Alonso thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Nice body kick from Bos.

Bos uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Alonso. Alonso throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bos's waist but Bos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alonso off to one side. Bos throws a right hand that Alonso ducks under and follows up with a left that Alonso also avoids with ease. Marcos Alonso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bos scores with the left hand. Alonso knows he should have avoided that one. Bos slaps away a takedown attempt from Alonso, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Alonso changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bos tries to avoid it but Alonso manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bos to the ground. Bos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Alonso misses with an uppercut. Bos saw that one coming. Bos slaps away a takedown attempt from Alonso, before circling back to the center of the mat. Alonso is breathing heavily.
Bos has taken the fight to the clinch.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Bos has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Alonso after a bit of a struggle.
Alonso successfully pulls guard.
Bos must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bos is fighting to break Alonso's control of his arms but Alonso is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Bos would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Alonso wants to sweep but no luck. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alonso as he avoids it easily. It looked like Alonso was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Horrible takedown attempt by Alonso or perhaps it was just good defense by Bos, which made it look bad. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Bos slips under a jab from Alonso. Bos throws a fast counter high kick but Alonso manages to duck under it in time. Alonso ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Bos avoids the body shot from Alonso.
Bos closes the distance and clinches. Alonso pressing his opponent against the cage. Alonso drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bos gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bos lands an elbow that stopped Alonso in his tracks for a moment.
 That's four minutes gone in the round. Bos jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alonso walks away with a smile on his face. Bos gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Alonso fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bos is looking to take this fight into the clinch. A quick step to the side and Alonso tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alonso closes the distance and pushes Bos back into the cage. Alonso looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Ferry Bos has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Marcos Alonso is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bos lands a hook that stumbles Alonso back into the cage. Bos follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Alonso to the canvas! Bos pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Alonso has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
