Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franco Ferrell (ranked 2715 p4p, 3863 weight class) and Nikita Morozov (ranked 246 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ferrell throws a counter high kick but Morozov was just alert enough to avoid it.
Ferrell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Morozov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ferrell swivels and escapes.

Morozov goes for a double leg but Ferrell avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ferrell continues to drive forward.

Ferrell wants to control but Morozov is keeping him busy.

Ferrell gets to mount! Morozov was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Morozov is squirming around, avoiding Ferrell's attempts to control the action.
Ferrell is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Morozov can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Ferrell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ferrell really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ferrell lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Morozov hang on?
Ferrell lands a big shot there that rocks Morozov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Morozov sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Ferrell is taking a breather. Morozov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Morozov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Ferrell postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Morozov to stand up.
Ferrell misses with a body kick.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Morozov enables Ferrell to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Morozov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Ferrell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Morozov shoots in looking for a takedown but Ferrell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Morozov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Ferrell is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Morozov can't fight it off and eventually Ferrell manages to take the fight to the floor. Morozov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Ferrell shoots in for a takedown but Morozov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ferrell rushes Morozov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Morozov is trying to force a seperation but Ferrell has the dominant position.

Ferrell jumps guard but Morozov stands there with Ferrell around his waist. Ferrell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Morozov drives through with a takedown into Ferrell's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Ferrell is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Morozov presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Franco Ferrell.
Well Ferrell has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
