This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Black Jack! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 0 losses; Biff Bagwell!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Bagwell closes the distance and pushes Jack back into the cage.
Jack jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bagwell walks away with a smile on his face. Jack gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Jack has his takedown stuffed

and Bagwell counters by moving into the clinch.
Jack tries to pull guard but Bagwell won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Black Jack. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jack jumps guard but Bagwell stands there with Jack around his waist. Jack gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bagwell successfully pulls guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bagwell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jack can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jack avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Bagwell has his hands on Jack's head, controlling the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jack working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bagwell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bagwell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Bagwell is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Jack has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Jack!

Jack laying and praying for a moment but Bagwell takes advantage and regains half guard.
Jack knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bagwell on the ground.

Jack is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Bagwell still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Bagwell has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The referee asks Bagwell politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Bagwell prefers to stall for the moment though.

Bagwell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Bagwell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jack is looking to escape.
