This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Mcgillicutty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Diesel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Mcgillicutty (0) vs (2) Diesel Diesel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcgillicutty swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diesel controls from within his opponent's guard. Mcgillicutty might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mcgillicutty seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
