Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Young Bob Merry!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Merry fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Merry lands with a cross.
Branch decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Branch winds up and cracks Merry with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Merry tries to roll over but Branch keeps him under control.
Branch trying to control the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Branch lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Branch is taking a breather. Merry says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Branch has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Branch tries to pass to full mount but Merry defends it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Branch shoots in and bounces Merry off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Branch tries to free his leg and advance position but Merry is retaining full guard.

Branch is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Branch working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Branch seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Branch distracts Merry with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Branch looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Merry with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Branch perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
This is a sustained period of stalling by Branch.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Merry scores with a sloppy right hand. Branch should have avoided that one.
Branch manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Merry on his heels. He'll look to pass Merry's guard now, I'm sure.
