Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gustavo Figueroa (ranked 3650 p4p, 2404 weight class) and Daniel Tung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figueroa comes to the cage accompanied by Gangsta, Gangsta - NWA. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gustavo Figueroa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Tung! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tung throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tung misses with a combination
and Figueroa counters with a takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Tung tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Figueroa wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Figueroa decides to take the fight back to the feet. Figueroa throws a big shot that misses. Tung's corner calls for a 1-2. Tung obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Figueroa fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tung looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Figueroa throws a combination that misses letting Tung counter with a right hand. Figueroa lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. This has been an exciting period of action! Figueroa lands with an uppercut that bounces Tung off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Daniel Tung has been cut. Gustavo Figueroa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Figueroa jabbing away but nothing is landing. Tung throws a right and a left that Figueroa avoids nicely. Figueroa wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Tung moves away from the strike by Figueroa. Tung looks like he wants to counter punch here. Tung cracks Figueroa with an open hand slap.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tung is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A head kick misses from Figueroa. Figueroa misses with a hook. Tung ducked under it nicely. Figueroa slips under a jab from Tung. Tung staying out of range there. Tung throws a right and a left that both miss. Figueroa looks to land a combination but Tung avoids it well. Tung steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Figueroa. Tung swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Figueroa lands with a thumping leg kick.

and Figueroa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Tung's guard. Tung is working an open guard so Figueroa takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Figueroa slips a jab and a cross from Tung.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Figueroa throws a monster overhand right that drops Tung! Figueroa follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:06 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gustavo Figueroa! Gustavo Figueroa was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
