Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Bjornsson (ranked 866 p4p, 4902 weight class) and Fedor Mazepin (ranked 111 p4p, 452 weight class). Mazepin has chosen boom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Eddie Bjornsson had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 28 - 16 - 1, fighting out of London, Eddie Bjornsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 38 - 60 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fedor Mazepin! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bjornsson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Mazepin's head backwards.
It looks like Fedor Mazepin has been cut. Mazepin should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bjornsson connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Mazepin takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bjornsson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bjornsson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Mazepin tries to bench press Bjornsson off him but Bjornsson keeps the position. Mazepin is letting Bjornsson control him for a moment. Bjornsson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've been hearing that Bjornsson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mazepin struggling a bit here. Bjornsson controlling from side mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a sustained period of stalling by Bjornsson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bjornsson continues to hold on tight. Bjornsson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bjornsson advances to full mount. Bjornsson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mazepin tries to lock up and control but Bjornsson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bjornsson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mazepin for as long as he can get away with. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Bjornsson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mazepin's guard. Bjornsson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Mazepin can't keep his opponent in guard - Bjornsson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Mazepin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bjornsson was covering up waiting for the punch and Mazepin finishes the takedown easily into guard. Bjornsson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bjornsson controlling the pace. Bjornsson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Mazepin can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mazepin is in trouble now - Bjornsson has advanced to mount! Bjornsson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Bjornsson content just to control the position here. Eddie Bjornsson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
