Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexey Turmarrov (ranked 23144 p4p, 3710 weight class) and Davide Farina (ranked 472 p4p, 390 weight class). Davide Farina has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alexey Turmarrov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Davide Farina! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Farina tries to work over Turmarrov's front leg with a kick but Turmarrov checks it. Farina connects with a solid leg kick. Farina jabs Turmarrov right on the nose. Turmarrov blinks but takes it well. Turmarrov lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Turmarrov dives in and scores a takedown into Farina's guard. Turmarrov postures up in Farina's guard and throws a big left but Farina blocks it. Farina utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Farina looking to control but Turmarrov passes into half guard.
Farina holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Turmarrov is thwarting Farina's attempts to control the position. Farina keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Farina is holding on to half guard well. Turmarrov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Farina wants to control but Turmarrov is keeping busy and won't allow it. Farina keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Farina is trying to maintain the position but Turmarrov is very close to passing his half guard. Turmarrov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Turmarrov stalling. Farina desperately trying to maintain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Farina is looking for a sweep. Turmarrov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Turmarrov throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Farina to regain full guard. Farina is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Farina is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Turmarrov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Turmarrov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Farina pulls Turmarrov in close to his closed guard and prevents Turmarrov from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Farina misses with a wild body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turmarrov dives in for a single leg takedown but Farina sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Turmarrov tries to pull guard but Farina won't allow it.
Farina lands a right hand. Farina lands a left hand that snaps the head of Turmarrov backwards. Farina decides to pull guard. Farina is adopting a defensive guard. Farina looking to control.
Turmarrov looking to sit in guard and control but Farina gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Turmarrov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Farina defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turmarrov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Farina gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Turmarrov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Turmarrov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Farina can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Farina advances position into side control! Farina working away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Turmarrov tries to control but Farina manages to take his back. Farina gets his hands free as Turmarrov looks to control. This has been an exciting period of action! Turmarrov defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Davide Farina dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Farina is looking to clinch but Turmarrov is avoiding it.
Farina lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Turmarrov falls backwards - clearly groggy! Farina dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Davide Farina! Our winner, Davide Farina, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
