Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mario Benedetti (ranked 1933 p4p, 24164 weight class) and FrankFurt Livingstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 48 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mario Benedetti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, FrankFurt Livingstone!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Benedetti throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Livingstone was covering up waiting for the punch and Benedetti finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Livingstone is looking to stand back up but Benedetti counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Livingstone.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Benedetti uses his free foot to push down on Livingstone's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Livingstone.

Benedetti is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Livingstone knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Livingstone for a finish.

Livingstone is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Benedetti gets his way!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
