Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Caceres (ranked 386 p4p, 199 weight class) and Reino Ruttu (ranked 56 p4p, 28 weight class). Reino Ruttu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rickson Caceres! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 19 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reino Ruttu! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ruttu throws a right and a left that Caceres avoids nicely. Ruttu clobbers Caceres with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Caceres has a takedown stuffed. Ruttu only half commits to the counter leg kick. Ruttu moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Caceres tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ruttu defends well and Caceres ends up having to push Ruttu into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ruttu! But no joy. Ruttu lands with a left to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Caceres tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rickson Caceres. That's going to take a lot out of him. Caceres jumps guard but Ruttu turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Caceres tries to pull guard but Ruttu holds him up against the cage and eventually Caceres drops back down to his feet.
Ruttu lands a hook that snaps the head of Caceres backwards. Caceres content to slow the pace in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ruttu misses with some punches.
Ruttu lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Caceres effectively controlling the action here. A hook to the body from Ruttu.
A short body shot lands from Ruttu as the two fighters clinch.
Caceres tries for a takedown but Ruttu manages to get underhooks.
Caceres tries to pull guard but Ruttu won't allow it.
Ruttu has a couple of punches blocked by Caceres.
Ruttu lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Caceres working hard to break the clinch. Caceres wants to take the fight to the mat but Ruttu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Caceres jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ruttu walks away with a smile on his face. Caceres gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ruttu throws a nice outside leg kick. Caceres shoots for a double leg takedown but Ruttu sprawls well. He's pushed Caceres's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Caceres on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Ruttu's corner calls for a 1-2. Ruttu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Caceres is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruttu drops Caceres with a straight right hand, right on the button! Ruttu follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Reino Ruttu! Reino Ruttu decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
