Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chan Sung Jung (ranked 2643 p4p, 3916 weight class) and Phishiji Baba (ranked 212 p4p, 284 weight class). Jung kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Zombie. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chan Sung Jung! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Phishiji Baba! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jung connects with a jab. Baba moves away from the strike by Jung. Jung has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Baba finds it's way round the side to connect with Jung's head. Baba cracks Jung with a right hand to the side of the head. Jung fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. It seemed like Baba was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Jung throws a right hand that Baba ducks under and follows up with a left that Baba also avoids with ease. Phishiji Baba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Baba drops his hands momentarily and Jung takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A cross from Baba lands. Baba scores with the left hand. Jung knows he should have avoided that one. Good shot there by Baba.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Baba. No joy for Jung on that attempt. Jung throws a jab but it's blocked by Baba. Baba scores with a jab to the jaw. Jung scores with a nice right hand.
Baba lands a body shot.
Baba throws out a powerful jab. Jung misses with a takedown attempt - Baba sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chan Sung Jung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Baba stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Baba wants it to stay on the feet. Jung fails with the takedown and Baba counters with a stiff right hand. Baba takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Baba scores with a jab to the head.
This has been an exciting period of action! Baba connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Baba is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Jung had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush. Baba lands with a hook. Jung tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Jung swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Baba listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Baba. Jung missing with a left hand there. Baba was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A little jabbing left from Baba on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Jung dips to his left and cracks Baba with an uppercut! Baba fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. A punch lands to the side of Baba 's head but he takes it in his stride. A jab from Baba does it's job there. Phishiji Baba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jung looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Baba has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Baba lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Baba staying out of range there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jung misses with a wild combination.
Baba is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Good shot there by Baba. Baba lands with a cross. Baba displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jung. Sloppy strikes from Jung. Those never looked like landing. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Phishiji Baba dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! A jab from Baba does it's job there. Jung on the wrong end of a nice hook. Jung has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Baba finds it's way round the side to connect with Jung's head. Jung throws a looping overhand right but Baba ducks down to avoid it. Baba lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Jung is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Jung takes one on the button. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baba works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Jung takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Baba uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
That's one minute gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Jung or perhaps it was just good defense by Baba, which made it look bad. Jung looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Baba connects with a jab. Jung takes one to the chin there. Baba fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jung manages to avoid it. Jung thows a left - swing and a miss! This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Jung might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Baba scores with a punch to the head. Nice uppercut lands for Baba. That snapped Jung's head back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jung looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Baba is fending him off so far but Jung persists. Nope, Baba circles away and we're back to standing. Jung rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baba moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jung manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baba on his heels. He'll look to pass Baba's guard now, I'm sure. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Baba is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jung is controlling him. Jung thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jung pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Baba is keeping the position for now. That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Jung rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baba moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Jung lands a lovely overhand right. Jung misses with a takedown letting Baba counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chan Sung Jung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Baba leaves Jung with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jung misses with a wild combination.
Baba connects with a right hand. Jung shakes it off. Baba scores with a jab to the body. Jung pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Baba lands a nice shot that snaps Jung's head back.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Phishiji Baba showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Good standup being displayed there by Baba as he connects with a hook. Jung fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Baba sprawls well initially but Jung persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Baba pushes Jung off but Jung dives into side control.
Jung prevents Baba from escaping the position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Baba can do anything to dispel that myth. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jung scoring with punches and elbows. Baba is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Jung is controlling him well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jung working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Jung thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Jung moves into full mount! Chan Sung Jung overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jung sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Baba trying desperately to get to his feet.
Baba defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jung. Baba tries to buck Jung off but Jung takes his back!

Jung trying to control. Baba is trying to get back to his feet but Jung has full control of the position and if anything, Baba has just worked his way into a worse spot. Jung working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Baba is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Baba is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jung has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Baba wants to get back to his feet. He's half way up but Jung drags him back down with a jolt, managing to get his forearm deep under Baba 's chin! Baba is in real trouble! His face is turning bright red and he's forced to tap! This one is all over!
