This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 4 losses; Hiroshimo Sakamoto! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 4 losses; Gozo Shioda! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Hirohito Nitta and Yukihiro Shimada.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Sakamoto tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shioda swats him away and circles back towards the center. Shioda moves into the clinch. Shioda is trying to pull guard but Sakamoto has him pressed against the ropes. Sakamoto pulls guard effortlessly. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Shioda tries to free his leg and advance position but Sakamoto is retaining full guard. Shioda sitting in guard, not really doing much. Sakamoto isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle.
