The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Chikorita moves in looking to clinch but Tavara pushes him off.
Chikorita tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chikorita tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Tavara manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Tavara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chikorita. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tavara is squirming around, avoiding Chikorita's attempts to control the action.
Chikorita is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Chikorita extends the arm and Tavara is forced to tap!
