Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Cactus Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mickey Greyson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack wants to clinch.
A slow jab from Greyson misses its intended target.
A jab from Greyson misses.
Greyson throws the left hand but Jack avoids the punch easily.
Greyson tries to bum rush Jack with a series of wild strikes but Jack uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jack throws a series of strikes that have Greyson backpedaling.
Greyson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jack moves into the clinch.
Jack wants a takedown.
Greyson is pressed up against the cage. Jack has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Greyson down to the mat. Greyson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greyson lands with a shot to the body.
Jack is breathing heavily.
Greyson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jack.
Greyson cracks Jack with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Greyson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jack to stand back up!
It looks like Cactus Jack has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Greyson makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A right hand to the body from Greyson.
Greyson drops Jack onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jack is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Jack is rocked!
Greyson dips a shoulder and cracks Jack with a mighty uppercut! Jack falls back against the cage and Greyson unloads with a barrage of strikes! Jack is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Greyson screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mickey Greyson!
