Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Wardell (ranked 3864 p4p, 3964 weight class) and Aidan Hopper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Wardell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Aidan Hopper! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hopper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wardell moves away. Wardell throwing a counter right hand but Hopper manages to avoid it. Wardell connects with the punch. Wardell shoots in but no luck this time. Hopper throws a counter combo. Wardell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hopper manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hopper throws a leg kick which misses Wardell's front leg but catches the back leg as Wardell tries to avoid it. Wardell moves to clinch but Hopper breaks away and Hopper counters with a low kick, right behind Wardell 's knee.
Wardell gets tackled into the cage by Hopper. Hopper maintains the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hopper blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Hopper lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Wardell is trying to force a seperation but Hopper has the dominant position.
 That's one minute gone in the round. A head punch blocked on the inside by Hopper. A short right hand to the side of the head by Hopper. Wardell has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Hopper lands a hook that snaps the head of Wardell backwards. Hopper scores with a shot to the side of Wardell's head. Hopper lands a left hand that snaps the head of Wardell backwards. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hopper creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Hopper lands a body punch in the clinch. Hopper stalling.
Wardell lands with a right to the head. Wardell throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Hopper slowing the pace effectively. Hopper is defending well against a takedown attempt. A short left from Hopper. Hopper scores with an uppercut up the middle. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wardell looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Wardell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wardell is looking to break free of the clinch but Hopper has double underhooks. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hopper creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A short right from Hopper on the inside. Hopper lands with a short head shot on the inside. Hopper will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Wardell up against the cage. Wardell is breathing heavily. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Hopper holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Hopper continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Hopper lands a right hand. Hopper lands a nice uppercut. Wardell's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aidan Hopper dominated that round. That's time! Wardell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hopper cracks Wardell with a right hand to the side of the head. Wardell looks to clinch enabling Hopper to counter with a crisp jab. Wardell tries to clinch but Hopper moves out of range. Hopper has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Wardell doesn't manage to clinch there - Hopper circles away.
Wardell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hopper swivels and escapes.
Hopper moves into the clinch. Hopper throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Hopper lands a right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hopper stalling against the cage.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Hopper. Wardell is trying to force a seperation but Hopper has the dominant position. Wardell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hopper avoids it. Hopper lands a left hand.

Hopper pushes Wardell back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hopper taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Aidan Hopper showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Wardell dives in and grabs Hopper's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hopper pushes down on Wardell's head and hops out. Wardell misses with a leg kick and Hopper counters with a nice body kick.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hopper lands on the inside with an uppercut. Hopper avoiding damage as Wardell throws knees to the body.
Hopper presses Wardell against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Hopper pushes Wardell back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Hopper just leaning against Wardell, taking a breather. Hopper lands a left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A short uppercut from Hopper. Hopper makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. James Wardell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aidan Hopper is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Hopper lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
And that's the end of the fight! Aidan Hopper comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Hopper has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
