Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Cornell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Sprite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cameron Cornell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Sprite! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Cornell as Sprite shoots in. Cornell throws a head kick but Sprite moves out of range.
Sprite looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Cornell could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Cornell wants to sweep here but Sprite controlling him for the moment. Sprite postures up.
Cornell throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Cornell thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Cornell throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sprite pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cornell is keeping the position for now. Sprite would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cornell wants to stand but Sprite is controlling the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. The fight moves into the clinch position. Cornell stalls. Sprite is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Cornell gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Sprite regains guard.
Sprite controls Cornell momentarily but Cornell frees himself. Sprite looks gassed! Cornell stands and throws Sprite's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sprite is trying to control Cornell's posture but Cornell avoids it. A lull in the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cornell advances to full mount. Cornell working away. Sprite pushes Cornell away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cornell gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Cornell trying to control the action but Sprite is working from the bottom. Cornell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sprite, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cornell decides to stand back up. Cornell steps back and let's Sprite get back to his feet. Cornell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cornell lands in his opponent's guard. Cornell stands up over Sprite, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cornell preventing the sweep. Sprite is looking for a triangle but Cornell pushes his legs off easily.
Sprite manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cornell manages to get himself to full guard.
Sprite is looking to work some ground and pound but Cornell has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sprite looking to pass the guard. Sprite pushing down on Cornell's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Sprite wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cornell keeps working. Sprite is figuring out what he wants to do next. Cornell keeping control of the position. Cornell wants to improve his position but Sprite is controlling well.
Sprite is looking for a kimura here.

Cameron Cornell dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Cornell throws a right hand that Sprite ducks under and follows up with a left that Sprite also avoids with ease. Cornell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Cornell gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Sprite is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Cornell pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sprite has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Cornell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Sprite drops down looking for an ankle pick but Cornell pulls his leg out and moves away.
Cameron Cornell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson Sprite. Cornell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sprite lands an upkick as Cornell stands over him. Cornell trying to control but Sprite is working from the bottom. Cornell postures up.

Sprite keeping moving, preventing Cornell from controlling successfully. Sprite working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cornell doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cornell manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sprite is breathing heavily. Sprite has his feet on Cornell's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Cornell stuffs the takedown. Tyson Sprite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sprite tries to clinch up and Cornell counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sprite won't be happy with that. Sprite is not content to let Cornell control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sprite struggling a bit here. Cornell happy to just control the position for now. Sprite is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cornell is controlling him well. Sprite is looking to regain half guard here but Cornell keeps moving and retains side control. Sprite is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Cornell has just dragged him back down to the mat. You can see the frustration on Sprite's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cornell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sprite closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cornell circles away. Cornell doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sprite counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Cornell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Cornell keeping moving, preventing Sprite from controlling successfully. Cornell keeping full guard, as Sprite tries to pass. Cornell controls Sprite momentarily but Sprite frees himself. Sprite passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sprite controlling the position from side mount. Sprite creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Cameron Cornell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cornell prevents Sprite from improving position. Cornell is not content to let Sprite control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cornell prevents Sprite from moving into mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Cameron Cornell will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
The fight moves into the clinch position. Cornell jumps guard.
Cornell is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Cornell keeping moving, preventing Sprite from controlling successfully. Cornell is trying to control the position but Sprite postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cornell wants to stand and escape but Sprite is having none of it. Sprite wants to control from the top but Cornell keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tyson Sprite. Cornell falls off balance throwing a combination
and Sprite counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cornell regains full guard. Nicely done. Sprite works over Cornell with some ground and pound from guard. Cornell wants to control the position but Sprite says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Sprite takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cornell is in trouble now - Sprite has advanced to mount! Sprite controlling from mount. Sprite prevents Cornell from getting the reversal. Cornell regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cornell trying to control but Sprite postures up.
Sprite wants to control but Cornell is keeping him busy. Cornell tries to roll over but Sprite keeps him under control. Cornell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Cornell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sprite trying to control from half guard but Cornell is working away.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cornell lands a big head kick that sends Sprite to the canvas! Cornell follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cameron Cornell!
