Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobe Joyce!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyce darts in and clinches Shea up against the cage.
Shea tries to stall but Joyce uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Shea fails to pull guard.
Shea jumps guard but Joyce stands there with Shea around his waist. Shea gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Joyce breaks from the clinch.
Shea throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Joyce sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Shea tries to clinch but Joyce is having none of it.
Joyce bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Shea wants to clinch
and Joyce counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Shea thinking.
Joyce with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Joyce has taken the fight to the clinch.
Joyce is looking to break free of the clinch but Shea has double underhooks.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shea fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Willie Shea. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Joyce breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Shea shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Joyce as he avoids it easily.

Shea misses with a takedown
and Joyce counters with a left and a right that stings Shea.
Shea is breathing heavily.
Joyce bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Shea's head backwards.
Shea is rocked!
Joyce lands a nice shot to the body.
Joyce gets a clinch.
Joyce breaks the clinch.
Joyce lands a left and a right that sends Shea crashing to the canvas! Joyce dives into mount looking to finish!
Oh Shea is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Joyce with shots to the head and body - Shea looks very uncomfortable down there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shea slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Joyce is thwarting Shea's attempts to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shea is controlling Joyce's trapped leg to prevent Joyce from advancing to side control.
Shea gets full guard.
Shea seems to have got his legs back now.
Joyce missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Joyce throws a sloppy strike and Shea has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Joyce is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Shea!
