Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fabrice Trausch (ranked 4887 p4p, 5142 weight class) and Xavier Sherman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trausch has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Xavier Sherman has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Fabrice Trausch's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fabrice Trausch! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Xavier Sherman! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Trausch stuffs the takedown attempt from Sherman. Sherman gets slowly back to his feet. Trausch lands a nice looking body shot.
Trausch throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Trausch throws a shot from downtown. Sherman moves away and avoids it. Trausch connects with a crisp jab. Trausch fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sherman on the side of the head. Trausch lands a glancing blow to the side of Sherman's head. Sherman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trausch sprawls well. Trausch wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sherman gets slowly back to his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sherman darts in looking for a takedown but Trausch gets double underhooks and turns Sherman into the cage. Fabrice Trausch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Xavier Sherman. Trausch keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Trausch throws a good cross that connects.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sherman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trausch as he jumps to the side. Trausch was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Trausch with a nice cross. Sherman has his takedown stuffed and Trausch counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Sherman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Trausch swivels and escapes. Sherman looks winded! Jab by Trausch. A momentary lapse in concentration from Trausch enables Sherman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Trausch manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sherman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sherman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sherman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trausch wants to stand and escape but Sherman is having none of it. Trausch is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sherman dives into side control.
Trausch is pushing Sherman's head away, looking to escape. Sherman manages to hold on to the position though. Trausch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sherman on the ground. Sherman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sherman is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Trausch is trying to escape and Sherman transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Trausch is forced to tap! Nice work there by Sherman! Very nice indeed!
