Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pete Stamp!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Black misses with a double jab.
Stamp lands a jab to the head.
Black shoots in for a takedown but Stamp shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Stamp thuds a left hand into Black's body.
Stamp scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Black dives in for a single leg takedown but Stamp sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Stamp struggles to land a body shot inside as Black controls his hands.
Stamp wants to break free but Black has control.

Stamp breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Black tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stamp sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Black somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jimmy Black. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stamp fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Black looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stamp lands a nice hook to Black's body. Black takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Stamp gets caught napping as Black dives in and scores a takedown. Stamp manages to retain guard.
Stamp pulls Black in close to his closed guard and prevents Black from doing any damage or advancing position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stamp's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've been hearing that Black has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Stamp is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Black rolls with it to try and escape but Stamp cranks on the arm and Black is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Pete Stamp!
