Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Reaper (ranked 805 p4p, 1356 weight class) and Jet Gunner (ranked 105 p4p, 181 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Jack Reaper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 31 - 27 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jet Gunner! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunner misses with a hook
and Reaper cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Reaper lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reaper. Reaper swats away the attempt to clinch by Gunner. Reaper moves into the clinch. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gunner just misses with a elbow thrown towards Reaper's brow. Gunner throws an elbow that misses.

I was talking to Reaper's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Gunner blocking some punches.

Gunner pushes off an throws an elbow but Reaper leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Gunner tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Reaper misses with a short punch on the inside. Reaper blocks an elbow strike. Reaper content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Reaper's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Reaper seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Gunner creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Gunner wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reaper has him pressed against the cage. Reaper scores with a nice hook to the head. Gunner doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Gunner looking for a takedown. Jack Reaper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jet Gunner. Gunner throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

That was a close round but I would say that Jack Reaper will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Gunner tries to clinch but Reaper moves out of range. A counter left hand to the body from Reaper misses its target. Reaper throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Gunner tries to clinch and Reaper counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gunner misses with a shot to the body enabling Reaper to counter with a crisp jab. Reaper sends Gunner crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Reaper is motioning to the referee to let Gunner up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Jet Gunner has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gunner missing with a left hand there. Reaper was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Reaper wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Gunner is still on wobbly legs! Can Reaper finish him? Reaper misses with a straight right. Reaper avoids the body shot from Gunner.
Reaper tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gunner manages to circle out of the way. Gunner seems to have recovered his senses. Reaper throws a body shot but no joy. Gunner moves to clinch but Reaper breaks away and Reaper counters with a stiff right hand. A big left from Reaper misses. Jet Gunner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gunner throws a right hand that Reaper ducks under and follows up with a left that Reaper also avoids with ease. Reaper throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reaper defending well as Gunner loads up on a big left hand. Gunner fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunner uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Reaper. Reaper slips a jab from Gunner. A slow jab from Gunner misses its intended target. Gunner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Reaper counters with a crisp right hand that drops Gunner! Reaper lets Gunner back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Reaper drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Gunner right on the button. Gunner goes down! Reaper follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Reaper gets the win via TKO!
