Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Nice (ranked 1712 p4p, 1347 weight class) and Paulie Soprano (ranked 215 p4p, 180 weight class). Nice comes to the cage accompanied by “Warped” RHCP. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice forces Soprano back against the cage and clinches.
Nice lands a nice shot to the body.
Soprano fails to pull guard.
Soprano is trying to pull guard but Nice turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Nice scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Soprano blocks an uppercut.
Soprano lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Soprano jumps guard.
Soprano looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nice has picked Soprano up and slammed him! Soprano can't keep hold of the triangle and Nice manages to pass to side control!
Soprano felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Nice advances nicely into full mount.
Soprano tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soprano tries to improve his position but Nice has taken his back! Nice has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Soprano tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Nice pushes Soprano away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jack Nice!
