Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Osama Bin-Semen (ranked 1374 p4p, 1007 weight class) and Gopnik Skwat (ranked 122 p4p, 96 weight class). Gopnik Skwat will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Osama Bin-Semen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gopnik Skwat!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bin-Semen avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bin-Semen keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Skwat.
Skwat throws an off balance right hand

and Bin-Semen counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Skwat is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bin-Semen pulls his head out easily.
Skwat is trying to get back to full guard.

Bin-Semen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bin-Semen not doing much here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bin-Semen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Bin-Semen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Bin-Semen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bin-Semen is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Skwat has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Bin-Semen is working for an americana but Skwat has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Bin-Semen was thinking about the submission.
Bin-Semen postures up in Skwat's guard and throws a big left but Skwat blocks it.

Skwat has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Bin-Semen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bin-Semen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Skwat's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Skwat has hold of Bin-Semen's hands but Bin-Semen slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bin-Semen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Skwat has managed to free his arm - good work.
Bin-Semen working Skwat over with strikes.
Bin-Semen throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bin-Semen stalling away here and it's allowed Skwat to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bin-Semen is working Skwat over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Skwat tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bin-Semen was well out of range. Poor timing from Skwat.

Bin-Semen tries to counter with a takedown but Skwat is quick to defend against it.

Skwat throws a hook to the side of Bin-Semen's head but Bin-Semen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Skwat throws a lazy right hand but Bin-Semen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bin-Semen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Skwat's waist but Skwat gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bin-Semen off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like Osama Bin-Semen has been cut.

Skwat gets caught flat footed, as Bin-Semen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bin-Semen throws an elbow that misses. Skwat uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bin-Semen's guard. Nice move by Skwat!

Bin-Semen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bin-Semen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Skwat defends well.
Bin-Semen seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Bin-Semen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Skwat must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bin-Semen is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Skwat can do to turn this around?

That was a close second round but I would say that Osama Bin-Semen will probably get the nod.

That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Skwat throws a sloppy head kick and Bin-Semen moves out of range easily.
Gopnik Skwat has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bin-Semen lands a body shot.
Bin-Semen misses with a body shot.
A slapping leg kick lands for Skwat.
A looping hook to the body misses from Skwat. Bin-Semen does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bin-Semen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Skwat looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bin-Semen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Skwat is now in Bin-Semen's guard. A big mistake from Bin-Semen there, giving up the dominant position!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bin-Semen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Skwat doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Skwat manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Osama Bin-Semen is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Bin-Semen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bin-Semen continues to stall.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bin-Semen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
