Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Davis (ranked 2870 p4p, 3160 weight class) and Ismael Santos (ranked 243 p4p, 262 weight class). Davis comes to the cage accompanied by Not like us. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Thomas Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ismael Santos!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis slaps away a takedown attempt from Santos, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Davis is looking for a counter combo.
Santos changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Davis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Santos goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Davis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Santos's guard! Nice work there by Davis!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santos looking for a guillotine here but Davis defends easily.
Santos is looking to sweep but instead, Davis has passed into half guard.
Santos works his way to full guard. Good work.

Santos is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Davis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Santos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Davis will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Santos is on top in guard.
Santos is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.

Santos decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Davis, up you get!

Santos forces Davis back against the cage and clinches.

Santos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Davis smiles and moves away.

Santos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Davis was well out of range. Poor timing from Santos.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Santos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Davis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Santos is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Santos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Davis pinned against the cage. Davis gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Davis counters with a crisp one two that drops Santos! Davis thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Santos to his feet! Santos is in big trouble!

Santos is breathing heavily.

and Davis counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Santos has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Thomas Davis!
Thomas Davis made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'THE MERCHANT IS BACK!!!! CANT STOP THE DAVIS TRAIN, YOU CAN ONLY SLOW IT DOWN!!'.
