Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quincy Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Soul Taker!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Moss misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Moss moves into the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Moss - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Moss breaks the clinch.
Moss lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Taker circles away quickly and effectively.
Moss throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Taker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Moss misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A left and a right from Moss both land. Nice combination.
Taker tries for a takedown but Moss circles away easily
and Moss counters with a nice uppercut.
Taker misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Moss counters with a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head kick misses from Moss.
Despite the aggression on Taker's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Quincy Moss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Taker gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Moss drops Taker with a beautiful combination! Taker stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Moss is looking for the KO!
Taker is rocked!
Moss batters Taker with a massive right followed by a huge left! Taker is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Moss lands a final crushing right hand to drop Taker to the mat with a gruesome thud! Moss is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Quincy Moss!
After winning the bout, Quincy Moss thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
