Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Capot (ranked 2412 p4p, 2869 weight class) and Trent Jones (ranked 283 p4p, 327 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Frank Capot has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Frank Capot seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frank Capot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Trent Jones! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones lands with a slapping head kick. Capot throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jones was covering up waiting for the punch and Capot finishes the takedown easily into guard. Capot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Capot drops back looking for a leg! Jones is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jones manages to kick Capot off! Capot jumps back into Jones's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Capot controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Capot is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Capot looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Capot seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Capot won't allow Jones to get back to his feet.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jones throws a series of punches but Capot avoids them all with ease. Jones jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jones tries to sprawl but Capot drives through with a takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Capot is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jones is trying to stand.
Capot wants to pass the guard but Jones is defending well. Capot is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Capot looking to isolate an arm here. Jones doesn't see it coming and as Capot extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Capot!
