Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corbin Good (ranked 3843 p4p, 3845 weight class) and Billy Joel (ranked 391 p4p, 0 weight class). Good's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Good Times, Bad Times - Led Zeppelin. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Corbin Good! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Billy Joel! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joel is trying hard to land a takedown here. Good sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. The fight stays on the outside here - Joel looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Good slips a jab and a cross from Joel.
Joel throws a sloppy head kick and Good counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Joel working a defensive guard here.
Good is stalling in the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good wants to pass the guard but Joel is keeping the position. Joel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Good defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good stays in close to Joel's body and controls the position. Good wants to pass the guard but Joel is keeping the position. Joel looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Joel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Good moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Good tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Joel manages to circle out of the way. Billy Joel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Good fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Joel sprawls well initially but Good persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Joel has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Good is on him like a limpet, forcing Joel back against the cage. Joel is trying to break free. Joel is trying to pull guard but Good turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Joel goes for a takedown attempt but Good pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Corbin Good has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Joel. Joel misses with the body kick and Good counters with a single leg into guard. Joel didn't expect that. Good has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Good wants to pass the guard but Joel is keeping the position. Good scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Good with a nice head shot there. Good controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joel wants to sweep but no luck. Good engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Joel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Good controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Good stands and throws Joel's legs to the side, diving into side control. Good controlling from side mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Good is chipping away with strikes.
Joel tries to improve position but can't. Joel seems a little lost for a moment, as Good dominates the positioning. Good's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Joel can't do much from the bottom here. Good controlling the position from side mount. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Corbin Good dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Joel doesn't succeed with the takedown and Good holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Good breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A right-left combo lands from Joel.
It looks like Corbin Good has been cut. Joel closes the distance but Good moves to the side and Good counters with a shoot takedown. Joel fights it but they end up in guard. Joel kicks Good off and gets to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Joel dives in and grabs Good's left leg, looking for a takedown. Good pushes down on Joel's head and hops out. Joel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Good manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Joel cracks Good with an open hand slap. Joel fails with a takedown attempt. Good wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Corbin Good has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Joel.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Good wants the takedown. Joel is fighting it off but Good persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Joel's guard against the cage. Good is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Joel trying to keep a closed guard but Good is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joel working for submissions but it's allowed Good to get to half guard.
Good with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Good trying to mount his opponent but Joel defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Good seems content to control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Good looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Joel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Good knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joel on the ground. Good prevents Joel from standing back up.
Good looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Joel shoots in looking for a takedown but Good manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Joel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Good instigates a clinch. Joel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Good walks away with a smile on his face. Joel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Good is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Joel can do to turn this around? Good dodges the punch combination from Joel.
Joel is breathing heavily. Joel wants to clinch up but Good keeps it at a distance. Good shoots in and bounces Joel off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Joel working for a triangle but Good defends it easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Good controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Corbin Good dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Corbin Good's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Joel tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Good paws at him with a jab and circles away. No joy there for Good, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Joel shoots in for a takedown but Good shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Good looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Good shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Good showed some decent athleticism there. Good looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Good slips a nice elbow through Joel's hands, connecting with Joel's forehead.

Good controlling the action here. Joel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Good is working away from the top position though. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Well, if Good is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Joel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Joel fails with the takedown. Joel moves in looking to clinch but Good pushes him off. Good is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Joel. Joel scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Joel. Corbin Good has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Joel. Joel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Good throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Joel unleashes a big counter combination but Good bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Good clinches up against the cage. Good lands a shoulder strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joel tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Good smiles and moves away.
Good circles away from the clinch attempt.
Joel is looking to clinch. Joel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Good circles away. Good is looking to counter the offense by Joel and move into the clinch. Joel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Good gets the takedown into side control. Joel prevents Good from improving position. Good is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Joel's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Further stalling from Good. Corbin Good is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Billy Joel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! If it seems like I'm not saying a lot, it's just because Good is stinking the place up with his stalling.

And that's the end of the fight! Corbin Good showed his dominance in that final round. Well Good has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
