Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Naoya Legend (ranked 25395 p4p, 3696 weight class) and Shin Otami (ranked 337 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Naoya Legend has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Naoya Legend! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shin Otami! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Otami takes the fight into the clinch. Legend looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Otami blocks a body shot from Legend. Otami landing knees to the body.
Otami breaks from the clinch.
Otami fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Legend is looking for a counter combo. Otami changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Legend tries to avoid it but Otami manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Legend to the ground. Legend escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A punch combination from Legend misses. Legend misses with a body shot
and Otami counters by clinching up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Otami's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Otami bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Legend tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Otami throws some wild stikes that Legend manages to avoid easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Legend blocking the ground and pound. Otami controlling from the full mount. Otami is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Legend has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Otami has hold of Legend's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Legend manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Otami stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Otami clinches. Otami pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Legend swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Otami moves into the clinch. Otami is leaning against Legend and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Otami stalling in the clinch.
Otami is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Otami's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Otami manages to pull guard.
Otami working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Legend doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Legend manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Otami has Legend pulled in close to control his posture.

Otami seems keen to control Legend's posture. Otami manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. Otami drags the fight down to the ground.
Otami pulls Legend in to control the position. Let's hope that Otami has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Legend wants to get up but he can't break Otami's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Legend got a little sloppy there for a moment and Otami has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Legend has managed to get both his arms back between Otami's legs - danger averted. Otami has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Legend is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Otami breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Legend moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Legend misses with a few strikes there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice takedown defense from Legend. No joy for Otami on that attempt. Naoya Legend has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shin Otami. Legend fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Otami on the side of the head. Naoya Legend is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Otami scores with a kick to the midsection. Otami shoots in but Legend avoids the takedown attempt easily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Shin Otami dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Legend slaps away a takedown attempt from Otami, before circling back to the center of the mat. Otami scores with a jab to the jaw. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Otami. Legend misses the shot to the body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Legend will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Otami fakes the leg kick and cracks Legend in the body. Nice takedown defense from Legend. No joy for Otami on that attempt. Naoya Legend has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shin Otami. Otami clinches with his opponent.

Otami has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Otami tries for a takedown but Legend manages to get underhooks.
Come on Otami - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Legend tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Otami's elbow. Otami prevents a body shot from Legend. Otami has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Legend uses from the top position. Otami had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Legend defends it easily. Legend being controlled here momentarily. Otami utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Legend works over Otami with some ground and pound from guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Otami is on top in guard.
Otami advances position into side control! Otami works to advance to full mount. Legend defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Legend has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Otami has the hooks in. Legend is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Legend knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Otami on the ground. Legend showing good submission defense here.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Otami struggling to land strikes to the head as Legend covers up. Legend might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Otami throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Legend!
Otami has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Legend. Otami is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Legend knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Legend for a finish. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A bit of a pause in the action here. Otami controlling the positon. Legend wants to get back to his feet. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Shin Otami showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round! Otami uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Legend is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Otami feints and then cracks Legend's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Legend down. Legend misses with a wild body shot. Naoya Legend is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Legend tries to bum rush Otami with a series of wild strikes but Otami uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Otami shoots in looking for a takedown but Legend manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Otami's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Otami throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Legend stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice takedown defense from Legend. No joy for Otami on that attempt. Legend seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Otami takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Otami takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Legend fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Otami on the side of the head. Otami misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Legend went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Legend looks to land a combination but Otami avoids it well. Naoya Legend is winning the standup battle so far. Otami rushes Legend and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Otami crunches a lovely knee into Legend's ribcage. Otami drags the fight down to the ground.
Otami seems keen to control Legend's posture. Otami bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Legend's guard. Legend is striking from the bottom but Otami uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Otami blocks the strikes from Legend.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Otami keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Otami frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Otami looking to finish with strikes here!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Otami is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Otami throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Otami is punishing Legend with some ground and pound. Otami has good solid back control here. Legend is trying to stand back up. Otami working for the choke.
And that's the end of the fight! Shin Otami comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Otami winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
