Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Swirly (ranked 5062 p4p, 25103 weight class) and Alex Pereira (ranked 461 p4p, 497 weight class). Swirly comes to the cage accompanied by The sound of goats screaming. Pereira has chosen Itsári - Sepultura as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swirly lands a big uppercut and Pereira crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Pereira looks OK. Swirly waves Pereira back to his feet!
Pereira is rocked!
It looks like Alex Pereira has been cut.
Swirly throws a body kick that misses.
Pereira is still on wobbly legs! Can Swirly finish him?
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pereira drops his hands momentarily. Swirly doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Pereira staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Pereira doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ed Swirly!
After the fight, Ed Swirly was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
