Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandar Dobrosavljevic Junior (ranked 4002 p4p, 4161 weight class) and Jerry Riggs (ranked 430 p4p, 445 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aleksandar Dobrosavljevic Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jerry Riggs! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dobrosavljevic Junior's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Riggs connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Dobrosavljevic Junior scrambles back to his feet.
It looks like Aleksandar Dobrosavljevic Junior has been cut. Riggs misses with a looping left. Riggs throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Dobrosavljevic Junior wants to clinch. Riggs clobbers Dobrosavljevic Junior with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Riggs scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Riggs stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Riggs wants it to stay on the feet. Riggs looks like he wants to counter punch here. Dobrosavljevic Junior fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Riggs, pushing him back against the ropes. Dobrosavljevic Junior can't get the takedown.
Dobrosavljevic Junior drops down looking for an ankle pick but Riggs pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksandar Dobrosavljevic Junior. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riggs misses with a left hand and Dobrosavljevic Junior counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dobrosavljevic Junior shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Riggs as he avoids it easily. A little jabbing left from Riggs on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. The fighters circle momentarily. Riggs darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Riggs fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Dobrosavljevic Junior is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Riggs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dobrosavljevic Junior. As Riggs looks to move away, Dobrosavljevic Junior throws a big counter combo but Riggs just gets out of the way.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riggs takes a swing at Dobrosavljevic Junior's ribcage but misses. Dobrosavljevic Junior walks into a stiff left hand from Riggs. A jab from Riggs misses. Dobrosavljevic Junior is rocked! Dobrosavljevic Junior shoots in and drives through. Riggs sprawls well. Oh Dobrosavljevic Junior is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Crack! Riggs connects with the perfect overhand right and Dobrosavljevic Junior falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Riggs!
