Williams comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kings and Queesn - Aerosmith kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Williams tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cross paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Cross drives through and clinches with Williams against the cage.
Cross misses with some punches.

Williams has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Cross has a couple of punches blocked by Williams.
Cross creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Cross throws a punch but it's blocked by Williams.
Williams takes an elbow to the forehead.
Cross on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Williams wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Cross has him pressed against the cage.
Cross is pushing Williams up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Williams goes for a takedown attempt but Cross pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cross tries to clinch but Williams moves away
and Williams counters with a takedown into side control.
Cross wants to control but Williams postures up.
Cross is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Williams's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Cross wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Williams is fighting to break Cross's control of his arms but Cross is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Cross creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Williams's defenses.

Cross tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Cross lands an elbow that stopped Williams in his tracks for a moment.
That has opened up TJ Williams's cut even more.
