Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Usaa Mera (ranked 4697 p4p, 3831 weight class) and Kari Tapio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Usaa Mera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Tapio! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mera misses with a takedown attempt - Tapio sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tapio shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mera as he jumps to the side. Mera shoots and misses and Tapio counters by moving into the clinch. Tapio lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Mera tries to pull guard but Tapio forces him back to his feet, against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Usaa Mera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mera tries to pull guard but Tapio holds him up against the cage and eventually Mera drops back down to his feet.

Mera fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tapio to the ground. Mera is now in Tapio's guard. Tapio is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mera is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tapio. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mera. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

And that's the end of the fight! Kari Tapio comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Tapio has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
