Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Will Strokes (ranked 4202 p4p, 4967 weight class) and Forde Oxmier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will Strokes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Will Strokes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Forde Oxmier! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strokes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Strokes gets a clinch. Oxmier tries to throw a body punch but Strokes avoids it by throwing Oxmier back against the cage. Oxmier lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Oxmier is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Strokes to keep the fight standing. Oxmier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice shot lands for Strokes.
It looks like Forde Oxmier has been cut. Strokes scores with a hook to the body. Oxmier takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oxmier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Strokes half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Oxmier looks winded! Strokes throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Strokes throws a body kick that misses. Strokes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Oxmier swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oxmier closes the distance and clinches. Strokes gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Oxmier.
Will Strokes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Forde Oxmier. Strokes is trying to stall.
Strokes tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Strokes wants to break free but Oxmier has control.

Oxmier is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Strokes gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Oxmier.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Strokes is trying to stall.
Oxmier is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Strokes is trying to stall.
Oxmier breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice combo by Strokes! Oh, that's hurt him - Oxmier falls to the canvas and Strokes follows him into side control. Strokes is looking to take a break and control but Oxmier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Strokes working away. Strokes is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Oxmier has escaped the position, nice work there. Strokes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Oxmier is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strokes moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Strokes moves into full mount! Strokes raining down shots from the mount! Strokes looking to control but Oxmier is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strokes looking to control and managing it successfully. Strokes wants to finish this one by submission but Oxmier is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Strokes. Strokes trying to control but he's not successful this time. Strokes sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Strokes can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Oxmier is looking to escape. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Will Strokes dominated that round. The cut man is working on Forde Oxmier's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Strokes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Strokes ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Strokes throws a nice looking combination but Oxmier bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Oxmier fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Strokes avoids it really well and circles away. Strokes tries to clinch up. Oxmier tries to counter with a clinch but Strokes shakes him off and moves away. Oxmier moves forwards but Strokes connects with a nice, crisp jab. Strokes tries to clinch there but Oxmier circles away.

Oxmier lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. The fight stays on the outside here - Strokes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Oxmier keeps the fight on the outside. Oxmier drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Oxmier is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strokes tries to clinch there but Oxmier circles away.
Oxmier shoots in and bounces Strokes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Oxmier working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Strokes has his foot on Oxmier's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Oxmier works his way back into a safe position though. Strokes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Strokes lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Oxmier keeping full guard, as Strokes tries to pass. Strokes trying to control the position from guard on top but Oxmier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strokes is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Strokes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Oxmier is keeping the position for now. Strokes loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strokes works a leg free and moves into half guard. Strokes controlling the action here. Strokes trying to control the action but Oxmier is working from the bottom. Strokes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Oxmier can do to turn this around? Strokes controlling the action here. Oxmier is staying active underneath Strokes, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Strokes is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Oxmier dives in for a single leg takedown but Strokes sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Will Strokes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Oxmier moves out of range as Strokes throws a body kick.
Strokes is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oxmier takes a shot right to the bread basket. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Strokes moves in looking to clinch but Oxmier pushes him off. Strokes moves in looking to clinch but Oxmier pushes him off. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. The fight stays on the outside here - Strokes looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Strokes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Oxmier paws at him with a jab and circles away. Oxmier steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Strokes. Strokes tries to clinch up but Oxmier circles away and keeps his distance. Oxmier throws a wild hook but Strokes just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Oxmier gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Strokes raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Will Strokes!
