Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Milel Schooba (ranked 4259 p4p, 25407 weight class) and Ahmad Safwan Ii (ranked 335 p4p, 398 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Milel Schooba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ahmad Safwan Ii!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schooba stuffs the takedown.
Schooba dives in for a single leg takedown but Safwan Ii sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Safwan Ii breaks from the clinch.

Safwan Ii closes the distance and clinches.
Schooba has had enough of the clinch but Safwan Ii keeps him there for the moment.

Schooba manages to pull guard.
Schooba doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Schooba wants to sweep here but Safwan Ii controlling him for the moment.

Schooba has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Schooba is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Safwan Ii defends well.

Schooba has his feet on Safwan Ii's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Safwan Ii controls Schooba momentarily but Schooba frees himself.

Schooba passes Safwan Ii's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Schooba thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Safwan Ii's head.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Milel Schooba will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Schooba tries to close the distance and clinch but Safwan Ii swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Schooba shoots in looking for a takedown but Safwan Ii manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Schooba's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Schooba shoots for a takedown but Safwan Ii saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Despite the aggression on Safwan Ii's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Safwan Ii has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.

Safwan Ii rushes Schooba and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Safwan Ii should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Schooba is trying to pull guard but Safwan Ii turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Safwan Ii is trying to drag Schooba to the mat but Schooba just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Safwan Ii prevents Schooba from breaking the clinch.
Schooba jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Safwan Ii walks away with a smile on his face. Schooba gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Schooba fails with an attempt to clinch.
Schooba shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Safwan Ii sprawls well. Safwan Ii wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schooba gets slowly back to his feet.
Schooba shoots in but Safwan Ii avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Schooba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Schooba tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Safwan Ii manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Safwan Ii scores with a head kick.
Schooba is looking to land body kicks.
Safwan Ii has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Schooba shoots in and drives through. Safwan Ii sprawls well.
Safwan Ii appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Safwan Ii rushes Schooba and presses him up against the cage.
Schooba tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Safwan Ii smiles and moves away.
Safwan Ii darts in looking for a takedown but Schooba gets double underhooks and turns Safwan Ii into the cage.

Safwan Ii is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schooba's half guard.

Safwan Ii is looking for a kimura but Schooba is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Safwan Ii to get the leverage.
Safwan Ii is pressing down on Schooba's thigh, looking to free his foot. Schooba is holding on for now.
Safwan Ii really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schooba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are battling for position here. Schooba manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Safwan Ii trying to control the position from guard on top but Schooba is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Safwan Ii has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Schooba to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Safwan Ii is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Schooba pulls down on the head and he's put Safwan Ii to sleep! This one is all over!
