Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rico Suarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Soo Son!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Son throws a nice looking combination but Suarez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jin Soo Son seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Suarez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Son waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Suarez.
Suarez throwing a counter right hand but Son manages to avoid it.
Suarez shoots for a double leg takedown but Son sprawls well. He's pushed Suarez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Son throws a head kick but Suarez moves out of range.
No joy there for Son, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Son shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Suarez defends it nicely.
Son closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Son is trying to get an arm triangle but Suarez is defending well.
Son looks winded!
Suarez is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Son's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Suarez tries to roll over but Son keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Suarez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Son's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Son's back!

Suarez lands punches and elbows.
Son avoids the strikes from Suarez.
Suarez is punishing Son with some ground and pound.

Suarez lands strikes from the back and Son isn't doing enough to escape the position. The referee steps in to end the fight.
