Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ronaldez Reno (ranked 4530 p4p, 2821 weight class) and Andre Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre Mason acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ronaldez Reno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Mason!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reno stuffs the takedown attempt from Mason. Mason gets slowly back to his feet.
Mason shoots for a takedown but Reno saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mason.
Ronaldez Reno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Mason.
Mason closes this distance looking for a takedown but Reno circles away.
Reno appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Mason shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Reno as he jumps to the side.
Andre Mason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mason dodges the punch combination from Reno.
Mason fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Mason drops back, looking for a kneebar! Reno looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Reno looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Reno!

Mason tries to escape but Reno is in control.
Mason is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Reno is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mason is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Reno stands up.
Reno shoots in and drives through. Mason sprawls well.
Mason shoots in for a takedown but Reno shows good takedown defense.
Reno displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mason.
Reno attempts a counter takedown but Mason avoids it well and moves away.

Reno is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mason.
Mason has a takedown stuffed.
Mason shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Reno defends it nicely.
Reno is looking to land body kicks.

Mason gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reno to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reno won't allow Mason to get back to his feet.
Reno wants to pass the guard but Mason is keeping the position.

Mason is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Reno presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Reno is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mason pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Mason digs a right hand underneath Reno's ribcage. Reno let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Mason's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mason ducks under a wild hook from Reno.
Mason slips a straight right by Reno.

Mason shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Mason wants to stand but Reno has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Reno is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Mason is controlling him.

Reno is working an open guard so Mason takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Reno looks to land a combination but Mason avoids it well.
Mason will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mason shoots in and drives through. Reno sprawls well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Mason throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reno's waist but Reno gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mason off to one side.

Mason wants to clinch up but Reno keeps it at a distance.
Reno feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Mason shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Reno to counter with a crisp jab.
Ronaldez Reno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Mason.
Reno will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mason forces Reno back against the cage and clinches.
Reno looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mason stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

Reno goes for a takedown attempt but Mason pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mason fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reno avoids it really well and circles away.
Mason closes the distance and clinches up with Reno, looking for a takedown. Mason pushes Reno against the cage but Reno circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ronaldez Reno is winning the standup battle so far.

Reno avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Reno seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Reno throws a hook but Mason blocks it.
Reno throws a series of punches but Mason moves out of range.
Reno throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mason's waist but Mason gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reno off to one side.
Reno misses with a takedown attempt - Mason sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Reno leaves Mason with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mason goes for a double leg but Reno avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Reno continues to drive forward.

Reno rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mason moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A left lands for Reno.
Reno stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Mason closes this distance looking for a takedown but Reno circles away.
Mason steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reno.

Mason is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Reno has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Mason is not content to let Reno control the position.

Mason looks for a takedown but Reno sprawls well.

Mason feints and as Reno raises his hands in defense, Mason changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Reno managing to control the position.
Reno looking for a sweep. Not yet Reno, not yet.
Mason postures up in Reno's guard and throws a big left but Reno blocks it.

Mason drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reno manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Mason has Reno in his guard.

Reno won't allow Mason to get back to his feet.

Reno's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Reno seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mason for as long as he can get away with.
Reno is standing up over Mason. Mason looks to escape but Reno dives into side control.

Reno decides to stand back up.
Ronaldez Reno is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Reno dives in for a single leg takedown but Mason sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Mason takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Reno throws a hook to the side of Mason's head but Mason sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Mason is looking to clinch but Reno is avoiding it.

Reno throws a leg kick but Mason sees it coming and moves out of range.

Reno defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mason.
Mason takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mason is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Mason moves out of range of the body kick.
Reno avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mason will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Reno appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Reno connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mason's hands.
Reno lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Reno.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reno clobbers Mason with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Andre Mason has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ronaldez Reno is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Reno is working for takedown but Mason is calmly controlling the position for now.

Ronaldez Reno showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reno, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
