Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Lyons (ranked 3999 p4p, 5123 weight class) and Sam Goldberg (ranked 404 p4p, 453 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Travis Lyons! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sam Goldberg! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lyons scores with the left hand. Goldberg knows he should have avoided that one. A cross from Lyons lands. Goldberg shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lyons defends it nicely. Lyons lunges at Goldberg with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Goldberg's hand. Lyons tries to bum rush Goldberg with a series of wild strikes but Goldberg uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jab from Lyons. Lyons throws a shot to the body.
Lyons getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Lyons lands with a nice body punch. Goldberg looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lyons! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lyons seems a little lost for a moment, as Goldberg dominates the positioning.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lyons tries to get back to half guard but can't. Lyons manages to get back to half guard. Lyons knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Goldberg on the ground. The fighters are battling for position here. Lyons manages to regain full guard. Nice work. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lyons tries to get out of the position. Goldberg trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Lyons wants to sweep but no luck. Lyons keeping moving, preventing Goldberg from controlling successfully. Goldberg should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Lyons pulls Goldberg in close to prevent any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A shot to the liver by Lyons. Beautiful body shot. Goldberg walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Lyons smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Lyons fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Goldberg is out of range. Lyons uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Goldberg has time to react. Goldberg shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Goldberg looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lyons is looking for a sweep. Goldberg is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lyons keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lyons is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Goldberg is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Goldberg controlling the pace. Lyons is looking for a sweep. Goldberg is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Travis Lyons dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Goldberg misses with a takedown attempt and Lyons counters with a straight right hand. Goldberg tries a head kick but it misses.
Goldberg takes one to the side of the head.
Goldberg is looking to clinch but Lyons is avoiding it.
Lyons lands a nice shot that snaps Goldberg's head back.
Goldberg is rocked! Lyons Throws a clean left jab. Lyons Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Goldberg's chin! Goldberg crumbles to the ground and Lyons follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Lyons!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Travis Lyons!
