Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pete Poggey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leyton Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power has chosen I gotta Feelin' as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Pete Poggey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Poggey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Leyton Power! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Poggey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Power circles away. Power tries to clinch but Poggey moves out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Power looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Power misses with a takedown attempt and Poggey counters with an inside leg kick. Power closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Poggey to the mat! Poggey manages to get full guard. Poggey looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Power postures up.
Poggey is controlling Power's posture. Poggey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Power is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Power trying to control the position from guard on top but Poggey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Power loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Power being controlled here momentarily. Poggey keeping moving, preventing Power from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power trying to stand up but can't free himself from Poggey's guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Poggey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Power is fending him off so far but Poggey persists. Nope, Power circles away and we're back to standing. Poggey is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Power tries to clinch up and Poggey counters by moving into the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Power changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Poggey fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Poggey throws a shot from downtown. Power moves away and avoids it. Nice takedown defense from Power. No joy for Poggey on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pete Poggey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Power swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Power tries to clinch but Poggey moves away and Poggey counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Power has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Poggey is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Power. Power looks gassed! Poggey is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Power will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Poggey dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Poggey fails with the takedown. Power jabbing away but nothing is landing. Poggey could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Poggey throws a head kick that misses. Power clinches but Poggey breaks the clinch and Poggey counters with a takedown into side control. Power stops Poggey from passing to mount. An elbow from Poggey crashes against the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poggey looking to control but instead Power has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. Power pushes Poggey off looking to stand but Poggey dives back in and keeps control.
Poggey wants to control but Power is keeping him busy. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Power is not content to let Poggey control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Poggey is taking a breather. Power says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Power is trying to stand back up but Poggey is controlling him
Poggey wants to take a breather but Power is having none of it. Power is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A shot to the body from Power misses and Poggey counters with a body kick. Power is breathing heavily. Poggey shoots in for a double leg but Power sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Power looks to clinch and Poggey counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Poggey passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Power! Poggey controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Poggey wants to control the pace but Power is squirming around nicely. Power holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Poggey tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Power wants to control but Poggey is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Poggey dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Poggey throws a body kick that misses. Power tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Poggey counters with a left and a right that stings Power. Power clinches but Poggey breaks the clinch and Poggey counters with a thumping low kick. Power closes the distance but Poggey moves to the side and Poggey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Poggey. Poggey is pushing down on Power's leg trying to pass to half guard. Power is fighting to maintain full guard but Poggey has managed to sneak the leg through. Power wants to improve his position but Poggey is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Poggey is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Power keeping full guard, as Poggey tries to pass. Power wants to stand but Poggey is controlling the position. Pete Poggey is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Power takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Power wants to hit a switch here but Poggey passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Power there! Poggey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Power working to try and regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Poggey controlling the pace for now. Poggey trying to control but he's not successful this time. Pete Poggey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Poggey controlling the pace for now.

And that's the end of the fight! Pete Poggey showed his dominance in that final round. Well Poggey has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
