The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs stuffs the takedown.
Shopulov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jacobs sprawls well. Jacobs wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Shopulov gets slowly back to his feet.
Jacobs has closed the distance and engaged Shopulov in a clinch.
Shopulov misses with the head strike.
Jacobs is trying to push Shopulov away but Shopulov has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The referee is keeping an eye on Shopulov - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Shopulov jumps guard but Jacobs turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Orlando Jacobs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roman Shopulov.
Shopulov gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jacobs regains guard.
Shopulov gets to his feet - Jacobs follows without any prompting.

Jacobs gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Shopulov is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Jacobs can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Jacobs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shopulov on the ground.

Shopulov moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jacobs has worked his arm free - good work by Jacobs!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jacobs is looking for a sweep.
Jacobs is wriggling around trying to escape but Shopulov has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Jacobs taps out and Shopulov picks up the big win! Great work there by Shopulov!
